Wrigleyville Whiskey

One way to warm you up during Chicago winters is a nice pour of whiskey. As the second highest sales volume spirit in the U.S., whiskey is well known, but where can you enjoy it in Wrigleyville? Where to find whiskey in Wrigleyville:

Mordecai has an extensive whiskey list as they are a whiskey centric place. They have an old and rare menu including Pappy and other fine whiskeys to celebrate a special moment or for just another Cubs win. Deuces and the Diamond Club’s has it’s own whiskey room located on the first floor, with comfy chairs to chill out on while you warm up! While you can find the famous Irish whiskey, Jameson, almost anywhere, it just seems to taste better at an Irish bar, The Irish Oak. Gman Tavern is offering a special edition Game of Thrones White Walker blended scotch whiskey this weekend while supplies last.

Events in Wrigleyville:

It is Whiskey Week at the bar at Hotel Zachary running until January 20th. There will be whiskey flights, specialty cocktails and an exclusive Hotel Zachary Reserve Knob Creek Single Barrel ready for you.

Big Star bourbon tasting event of Elijah Craig is Tuesday January 22nd at 6pm where the $80 ticket (excluding tax and service) includes some Big Star snack, an Old Fashioned, 1 oz. pours of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof & 18 year 1/2 oz. tastings of 21 and 23 year old batches. Over-Proofed Whiskey Event with Women Who Whiskey is going to be held at Mordecai on Wednesday February 6th from 6pm-8:30pm. This event costs $45, starting with a cocktail before heading over to three tasting stations. Throughout the night are some light bites, the opportunity to learn details about making whiskey cocktails, and of course that night cap cocktail. Everyone over 21 is welcome for this exciting event!

Chicago Whiskey and Wine on Saturday February 23th is hosted by Players Sport and Social group at Old Crow Smokehouse. There are two sessions for this event; one at 12pm-3pm and one from 4:30pm-730pm. For $30 plus fees, entrance cost enjoy 15 tasting tickets in your souvenir tasting glass while listening to live country music.

Wrigleyville promotions for Whiskey:  

Merkle’s has whiskey specials on Wednesday with $5 Jack Honey and Crown Royal Apple. Over at Redmond’s they have $6 Jamo shots every day or on Monday grab a $3 Jim Beam cocktail. Later in the week get $5 fireball shots on Thursday and Saturday. The Dark Horse will satisfy your whiskey needs with $3 Jameson Shots on Thursdays, $3 Fireball Shots on Friday s and $5 Jack Daniel Cocktails on Saturday. Mosey on over to Country Club on Sunday Funday for $4 Jamo or Wing Night Wednesday with .50 cent wings and $6 Jack Fire! Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday enjoy some Irish whiskey from Tullamore Dew for $4 at Full Shilling. With their updated menu, stop in to Houndstooth Saloon on Tuesdays for half off bourbon and whiskey. Can’t make it there on Tuesdays? Enjoy their $3 Fireball and $4 Sexton Irish Whiskey any day of the week!
